BIOCEPTIVE AND TRIMEDIC ENTER INTO LETTER OF INTENT TO ESTABLISH JOINT VENTURE TO BRING NEW MEDICAL DEVICE TO MARKET
NEW ORLEANS, LA, USA, and TORONTO, ON, CANADA / January 08, 2025 – Bioceptive, an innovative women’s health company based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Trimedic, a Canadian leader in women’s health solutions headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, are pleased to announce they have executed a letter of intent to form a joint venture. The new joint venture aims to enhance, manufacture, and bring to market the patented, FDA-approved Cervical Suction Retractor (CSR), initially in Canada and the United States.
The CSR represents a transformative alternative to the tenaculum for a variety of gynecological procedures, including IUD insertion. Unlike the tenaculum, which pinches the cervix and causes significant pain—often leading women to delay or avoid essential procedures—the CSR utilizes gentle suction to minimize discomfort. This breakthrough device promises a safer, more effective, and significantly less painful experience for women.
